  • For me, this is paradise. Deep in the forest of Maine, this spot is full of beauty and wildlife. If you look closely you'll see the eagle nest where most of these shots were taken.
  • Family together.
  • Returning with a fresh fish. The baby is close behind.
  • The adult just returned to the nest with a fish with the juv close behind.
  • Adult leaves in search of another meal.
  • Waiting for one of the parents to return to the nest with a fish, the juv spends time circling.
  • This first year Juv is gliding high. A beautiful sight as it passes over me..... Seems to have this down...Landing, well getting better.
  • This distant branch has been stripped clean to serve as a perch for the baby to use while learning to fly. The baby flies back and forth from the nest to this branch during the first days of flight.
  • Finally...A perfect landing.
