  • Rose-breasted Grosbeak (Pheucticus ludovicianus) male. This young male has been a frequent visitor to our feeder and is so vibrant I wanted to get his image. If you look closely, you'll see red at the edge of his wing. The entire underside of his wings are red which makes this bird one of the most beautiful in flight.

  • Razorbill (Alca torda) This bird spends most of its life on the open ocean close to shore. It only comes on shore to nest in crevices on small rocky islands. I took this image on Machias Seal Island.
  • Lesser Goldfinch male...(Carduelis psaltria) This bird is usually found in the Southwest US and Mexico. Its very rare to see this species in Maine..This image was taken on Parks Pond in Clifton Maine, so I included it in this gallery.
