  • Notice...not one bottle but two. Ok, I did help. The wine was wonderful and the crab cakes were great. An evening with my wife I won't forget.
  • This artist is capturing the beautiful Lupine flowers with the Island Inn in the background. Monhegan Island is an artist's paradise.
  • The Island Inn on Monhegan Island, Maine. We had a wonderful time enjoying the rocking chairs on the porch, the adirondack chairs on the lawn, great food and service. The staff was outstanding and the facility was spotless. Staying overnight was the right decision which allowed us time to enjoy the sights and to relax with our favorite wine.

  • Ring-necked Pheasant (Phasianus colchicus) male. <br /> I left the Island Inn at 4:30 am to catch the sunrise at White Head. On the way back I came across this beautiful pheasant near the lighthouse. He ran through the field and up onto this stump where he posed for a short while. I was wishing I had my 600mm lens as he was about 100 yards away. I took a few shots and tried to move my tripod closer but he became uncomfortable and took off into the brush. The images lack some detail but it was the best I could do with my 70-210 lens. I intend to make another trip to Monhegan Island with my telephoto just to shoot him again. He was really beautiful.
